Zane reached out to Green Attic Insulation for a comprehensive attic insulation and ventilation solution for his home in Long Grove, IL. The project involved air sealing, insulation, and ventilation of the main attic, bungalow part, and a small transition attic.
The project started with the removal of 700 square feet of batt insulation from the bungalow roof structure and some walls. This was followed by air sealing the attic floor across 1280 square feet, covering the main attic, bungalow part, and transition attic. Baffles were then installed in the same areas to ensure proper ventilation.
For insulation, 1280 square feet of R-60 insulation was added to the main attic and the small attic. To enhance accessibility, three attic hatches were installed in the main attic, bungalow door, and small attic. Additionally, 25 can light covers were installed to improve energy efficiency.
An attic solar fan with a power backup was installed to enhance ventilation, along with 60 square feet of transition wall insulation in the small transition attic. Lastly, 400 square feet of bungalow knee walls and attic insulation were installed.
Green Attic Insulation transformed my attic into a highly efficient space. The team's professionalism and attention to detail were outstanding. My home is now more comfortable, and I can already see the difference in my energy bills. I highly recommend Green Attic Insulation!
