A solar attic fan removes that heated air and releases it outside before it can compound in your attic. This applies to an air sealed attic only. If the attic is not air sealed and a powered fan is running, there is a risk for negative pressure from the house to pull paid conditioned air into the vented attic. Smaller, secondary vents draw cool air into your attic, which lowers your home’s overall temperature. When you don’t have a mass of super heated air in the top of your house, it won’t radiate through the rest of your home. Fan has an optional electrical backup ( using your existing failed power fan supply) to connect to the solar powered fan for humid air removal on overcast days.
